Blue Popcorn has a less buttery flavor than classic white or yellow popcorn. Its popping ability is similar to other popcorn types, but it is a less traditional and more unique variety.
While their uniquely-colored popcorn kernel varieties (Midnight Blue, Red, Purple, Blue, Rainbow) have a colored kernel, they will be white or yellow once popped. For popped popcorn to be colored, the kernels need to be dyed beforehand, and we do not use dyes or preservatives.
Their Blue Popcorn is medium to large, has a unique, sweet, and nutty flavor, and pops in mushroom or butterfly shapes. Blue Popcorn is also higher in antioxidants and has thinner hulls than our other varieties.
Their Medium Yellow Popcorn is medium-sized, crunchy, and dense and a bestseller at Amish Country Popcorn. It is one of the most classic and well-known popcorn varieties and is recognized for its sweet, buttery flavor. Having a very versatile flavor, it is perfect for making traditional popcorn snacks, whether at home, in movie theaters, or at events. Generally, it is the preferred choice when looking to simply make buttered popcorn.
Their Rainbow Popcorn is a blend of Amish Country Popcorn favorites- the best of all of their varieties in one bag. Combine all of the unique flavors into one bowl of popcorn. Pop the kernels for a fun snack, or use them as decoration.
Their Red Popcorn pops into a healthy, crunchy snack that has a beautiful red color due to the presence of natural pigments called anthocyanins. This variety of popcorn also has fewer hulls and medium-sized kernels.
