The Mill

Nestled on Route 100 between Waterbury and Stowe, Cold Hollow Cider Mill is a year-round destination housed in a 19th-century farmhouse and historic dairy barn.

Here, you'll find our working cider press, bakery, café, market, and hard cidery, all rooted in Vermont’s agricultural heritage.

We are open 8 AM to 6 PM daily, all year. Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.

Watch Vermont Apple Cider Being Made

At Cold Hollow Cider Mill, guests can experience one of Vermont's favorite traditions: fresh apple cider production. From our viewing area, you may have the opportunity to watch cider being pressed and enjoy a complimentary sample of our fresh Vermont apple cider.

Our cider production schedule changes throughout the year and pressing is not guaranteed during every visit. While cider is often produced on Monday and Thursday mornings, schedules may vary due to seasonal demand, apple harvest conditions, maintenance, and production requirements.

If seeing the cider-making process is an important part of your visit, we encourage you to call ahead for the most current production schedule.

Try Cider Jelly - our best seller and rarely found anywhere else.

Because we make it the same way early Yankee pioneers made it: We boil down our own fresh Apple Cider and allow the natural pectin in the apples to change it to jelly. Nothing is added. So pleasingly flavorful that we use it as an all-natural base ingredient or sweetener in many of our other products.
