Baked and immediately flash-frozen to preserve freshness, this Vermont recipe seems to improve the longer it stays in the freezer. Perfectly moist until ready to serve. Keep one for unexpected company or a midnight snack. This 8" diameter cake provides 6 generous portions.

How to feed your inner Vermonter: Keep frozen and move to a refrigerator a day before you intend to serve the cake. Use the side pull tab to remove the outer package for easy cutting and serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 1 year.

    Apple a Day Coffee Cake

    I have bought this cake before and it was always great., which is why I "knew what I was ordering." This time, it came squashed and NOT even cold. It looked more like a cake that 'fell' in the oven from improper oven heat. I can't explain it, but I had to throw most of it away as not edible. Tough, when spending over $20.
