Less is always more. Ours is a simple recipe and has quickly become a local favorite at our mill. Adding Vermont apples to coffee cake seems like it was meant to be. Baked and immediately flash-frozen to preserve freshness, this Vermont recipe seems to improve the longer it stays in the freezer. Perfectly moist until ready to serve. Keep one for unexpected company or a midnight snack. This 8" diameter cake provides 6 generous portions.
How to feed your inner Vermonter: Keep frozen and move to a refrigerator a day before you intend to serve the cake. Use the side pull tab to remove the outer package for easy cutting and serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 1 year.
