Apples & Cider

I grew up eating Macintosh apples and they have been hard to find. On a trip a few years ago I saw Cold Hollow and stopped to see what they offered. I have been a customer since 2018. These apples are big and juicy. Mac’s do have a tendency to bruise easily and these are packed in sturdy boxes and in foam so they arrive in perfect condition. It is a little pricey compared to the grocery store (where I never buy apples from) or a local orchard but it’s worth it. I don’t know if it’s the soil or the cold nights but they have a different taste than those from other states. These will continue to be a treat for me.

I was so disappointed. I guess I expect my Mac's to be crisp, have a bit of green, like plucked off the tree at the right time. Too soft. Flavor is ok.

We order annually and also receive apples as gifts for our grand children. Always good and bring back memories from growing up/ spending summers in Wallingford. Thanks for your quality product and service.

I ordered a dozen Mac apples. They arrived in perfect condition -- red, unbruised, absolutely delicious! Just like the ones I bought when I lived in Vermont. Highly recommend these. And Cold Hollow.
